While working on the music for the next full album, Jason took on a side quest and recorded six of the new songs as live solo performances in Central Park. The result is now live on all streaming services: The Sanctuary Tapes.

Back in June of 2024, Jason met Gavin Mendonca (aka @CreoleRock) at the Voices Unleashed open mic in Brooklyn, and Gavin made this video from that session:
Fast forward about a year, and Gavin was back in NYC with his newly acquired degree in audio engineering and upgraded equipment, looking for clients again. As luck would have it, Jason had some time and a batch of new songs, so the timing was perfect.
A week later they ventured into the Hallett Nature Sanctuary in Central Park. The challenge was to record an EP of live takes and record enough video and b-roll footage to produce a music video.
Overall the session was a success, though there were a few hiccups along the way…
While none of the takes were perfect, there are six takes that were worth sharing. These will be released on August 8th, 2025, as “The Sanctuary Tapes”.
