This song is my love letter to my favorite sporting event on the planet: The New York City Marathon. I love it for many reasons. For one, this event features professional, elite level athletes who share the course with a bunch of schmucks like me.
I can’t think of any other prestige sporting event like this.
The city comes together, lets us clog up the streets for most of a Sunday. They’re still out there cheering as the day drags on and the slower half of us drag ourselves through those last few miles.
So yeah, this song isn’t for the winners. This song is for the rest of us ♥️
